Abstract
In this chapter, we will consider how important game physics is in the development of games. We will also see how physics is implemented in the FXGL game engine and how it can be used in FXGL games. More specifically, game physics typically serves two purposes: collision detection and simulations, both of which will be covered in the context of FXGL. By completing this chapter, you will learn the following: commonly used collision detection techniques, how to add collision handling code and how to implement physics in games.
