Abstract

A test automation framework (Figure 1-1) establishes the toolset and reusable utility classes with which test engineers can build tests. A framework needs to evolve as per the enterprise requirements while being stable enough to allow test engineers to focus on developing test scripts. All testing organizations involved in test automation follow a test automation framework built by architects. In this chapter, we will discuss the technology stack and key features of our automation framework. We will also discuss the scripting strategy and coding standards followed throughout this book. Let’s get started with the technology stack.
