This chapter provides information on Azure Virtual Desktop’s high-level architecture, including cost-saving options, user session flow with and without RDP shortpath, Azure platform/Azure Virtual Desktop limitations, VM sizing, network capacity requirements, operating system recommendations, DNS for Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Virtual Desktop host pool placement, and resource groups.
