Abstract

It’s safe to say that while technology can bring enormous benefits in the battle against climate change, it’s also fair to say that technology is not always the solution to the problem. Take the steam engine, for example. This is a technology and completely changed the world after it was invented in 1698. Rather than being something that could have been used to make the planet a healthier place, it’s widely accepted that the steam engine is the cause of climate change rather than part of the solution.
