Understanding the gRPC Specification

Abstract

Before we jump into the power of gRPC and ASP.NET Core, it is essential that you learn the gRPC specification and how it works. This is crucial because gRPC is more different than you have seen before, for example, WebAPIs or Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) services. The gRPC specification is language-agnostic, which means that this specification not only is implemented with ASP.NET Core, but also can be integrated with other stacks like Java, PHP, and Node.js.
