Abstract

Scripts and user-created functions often make the life of an R user easier. If a repetitive task involves several different lines of code, creating a script or function to do the task saves time. In the S4 object system, methods for generic S4 functions are the functional side of S4 and require special treatment. For Reference Class methods, the methods are regular user-defined functions but are defined within a reference class.
