Abstract
R works with objects. Objects can include vectors, matrices, functions, the results from a function, or other kinds of objects. Objects make working with information easier. This chapter covers assigning names to objects, listing and removing objects, and object operations. Part II (Chapters 4 and 5) covers the possible forms of objects.
