Cryptography and Cryptanalysis in MATLAB

Abstract

This chapter discusses block ciphers, such as the Data Encryption System (DES) and the Advanced Encryption System (AES). Different aspects, such as substitution/permutation, are discussed as design techniques used with block ciphers. This approach is based on FIPS 46-3 for DES and FIPS-197 for AES.
