Abstract

Microcontrollers can be used to control actuator devices. An actuator is a device that is responsible for making movements. Actuators fall into two groups, which are mechanical and electro-mechanical actuators. In this chapter, we will look at controlling some important electro-mechanical DC actuators. After learning to control actuators, an entire world opens to you. Automatic locks, robots, and CNC machines can be understood more easily, and after you will have the ability to build such devices.
