Introduction to Python Network Automation

Abstract

In this chapter, you will download a CentOS 8 bootable image to install and create a second virtual machine on your VMware Workstation. The CentOS 8 server is based on a community version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 (RHEL8), one of the most popular enterprise Linux OSs among the Linux community users because of its stability and security. By the end of this chapter, you will be able to create a CentOS 8 Server VM from scratch and customize the network settings using the nmtui package to add flexibility to your network automation lab. In preparation, you will download the GNS3 .ova template file and import and create a GNS3 VM for Cisco IOS and IOSv image integrations later.
