Abstract
Performance validation ensures that various layers of the application conform to predefined performance service-level agreements (SLAs). You need a robust performance-testing plan to validate all aspects of the application. It is a critical success factor for the overall program. A performance testing exercise analyzes the performance needs of the application, characterizes the workload, scripts performance scenarios, executes performance scripts, and reports the findings. The performance findings and recommendations are used by various teams to address performance issues. Performance validation and sign-off are crucial aspects of the system acceptance criteria and are part of the production readiness decision.
