Malware Analysis and Detection Engineering

Abstract

An attacker avoids delivering a raw version of the malware to the victim. One of the good reasons is that antimalware products can easily detect it as malicious by using static signatures. Another factor is the raw piece of malware can be larger and might take a longer time to download on a victim’s machine, making size reduction important.
