Abstract
In this chapter I introduce concepts and areas of machine learning we will be covering further in detail in this book. If you are a data scientist or a sport science practitioner interested in machine learning, you will find many practical examples that can help you in real life. From deep computer vision to working and applying sensors in the field of various sports, analyzing and processing data and training models, new technologies and projects collected in this book should help adding machine learning as a tool.
