Abstract

As stated, LEO space vehicles are more representative of the immediate growth in the development and deployment of space systems. Their comparative simplicity also allows for easier analogy and framing for cyber discussions around space systems in general. There are, however, many other types of space vehicles in and beyond Earth’s orbit. These systems are not limited to but include space vehicles in other-than LEO, complicated constellations, and other special systems. I will not cover the complete catalogue of space vehicle types but go into enough detail on categorically different systems to illustrate how they all represent unique challenges and issues among the space system community and for cybersecurity implementation.
