Abstract

The biggest selling item at most airports around the world for people traveling on vacation is a good paperback thriller. People love detectives and detective work. This is because human beings, fundamentally, are explorers and adventurers who want to learn about new cultures, new experiences, and about the world around them and the universe around that. This is the primary reason why Scandanavian drama has so gripped the world in recent years and why Sir David Attenborough remains even more popular today than he was when his ground-breaking Life on Earth (BBC) series was first broadcast in 1979.
