Abstract
The goal of this chapter is to cover motion analysis and the tracking of objects. You will learn how to get information about different types of objects in motion, understand techniques to remove background and foreground information, and see real-time tracking options with hands-on implementation steps. The topics in this chapter are an extension of the object detection and recognition techniques you learned about in Chapter 5 and hence require a thorough understanding of that chapter.
