Abstract
The Providing performance circle (Figure 3-1) describes the actions, roles, and outcomes related to providing an agile infrastructure. The organic nature of agile adoption has led some to believe that the leader has little responsibility to provide an infrastructure, but this has proven to be unrealistic at scale. The infrastructure might be different than what leaders have experienced thus far, but it is required nonetheless. Experienced leaders have learned that providing a solid infrastructure is essential to scaling agile across the enterprise.
