I mentioned in the last chapter that it’s not uncommon for developers to have a good impression of a particular product simply because they know and respect someone who works at the company. Likewise, if you’ve been in the technology sector for even a short time, you’ve likely seen how easily the tide can turn against a company if they take a wrong step or make a wrong choice in the public eye. In short, keeping a pulse on the public sentiment of your product is important. It should be no surprise that this is one of the ways a Developer Relations team can add to the success of your brand.
