Abstract
First, we will consider clicker bots, which require minimum effort for development. This chapter covers commonly used developer tools and techniques to embed game data on the OS level and capture game data on output devices. An appropriate example will demonstrate each considered approach. We will write a small clicker bot for the MMORPG game Lineage 2. It will help us to gain a good understanding of the pros and cons of this type of bot. Finally, we will consider techniques which allow anticheat protection systems to catch clicker bots.
