Abstract

The breadth of Community Cloud is a microcosm of the Salesforce platform. As new features and capabilities are introduced with each release, it has become increasingly difficult to maintain comprehensive expertise on Salesforce overall, let alone this single “cloud.” As such, there is a significant amount of information that can be covered within the realm of Salesforce communities, and individual chapters could be written about a number of additional topics. To balance the need for breadth across common community areas and the unwieldy and awkward nature of a 600-page book, I’ve identified a number of specific topics that I’ll be covering in brief throughout this chapter. My goal is to provide enough information to readers to provide value as a starting point or basic reference; from there, one can explore additional detail via Salesforce Help & Training and other resources.
