Communicating Between Apps

Abstract

You’ve already seen a number of ways that apps can communicate with each other. In  Chapter 6, you used FileOpenPicker and FileSavePicker to share resume data between UWP apps. In  Chapters 8 and  10, you used the URI launcher to launch a completely separate application. In the case of the Maps app from  Chapter 8 you learned how parameters can be passed from the calling app and utilized in the receiving app. This chapter continues the notion of app-to-app communication by introducing a number of new ways in which apps can communicate with one another.
