Up to this point, the applications you’ve seen have been able to create and use individual windows. Almost every sample has used a single JFrame to display information and interact with the users. Now you’re going to look at using internal frames. First you will take a quick look at a collection of inner frames, because there are times when applications can use a variety of views in order to convey different information to the users. The chapter begins by comparing internal frames to the JFrame used in the previous applications. Then you’ll build an application that uses internal frames that display information in a variety of ways.
