Electric Motors

You will model a three-phase permanent magnet motor driven by a direct current (DC) power source. There are three coils on the stator and permanent magnets on the rotor. This type of motor is driven by a DC power source with six semiconductor switches that are connected to the three coils, known as the A, B and C coils. Two or more coils can be used to drive a brushless DC motor, but three coils are particularly easy to implement. This type of motor is used in most industrial applications today, including electric cars and robotics. It is sometimes called a (PMSM)
