Real-Space Ground-State of a Generalized Hubbard Model
We study a generalized Hubbard model with onsite interaction U, intersite interaction V, and a general correlated hopping subject to the condition that the number of doubly occupied sites is conserved. This study is carried out in the real space using a. new mapping method. The method is based on mapping the original many-body problem onto an equivalent tight-binding one with impurities in a higher dimensional space. For a linear chain, we have obtained an exact solution of the problem of one hole and one doubly-occupied site moving in a ferromagnetic spin background, and a metal-insulator transition for some values of the Hubbard parameters. Preliminary results are also given for the two-dimensional case.
