Application of Boreas Cryocoolers

Abstract

Boreas, Inc. has developed and is now producing a new, high-efficiency cryocooler, the B100, that provides a nominal refrigeration of 1 W at 4.2 K with an input power of 2.9 kW. This paper describes the cryocooler and its specialized user interfaces for conduction-cooling and helium-recondensing applications. Performance and vibration data are also presented.
