Abstract

The technology for producing beams of spin polarized electrons has been developing for the last two decades. Until recently, most of the experiments which were performed using spin-polarized electrons concentrated on elastic and inelastic scattering from atoms1–6. Quite recently, it was suggested that spin polarized electrons could also be used to examine ionizing collisions7–9.
