Nonlinear Optical Response of Cold Atoms

Abstract

The recent development1 of laser cooling and trapping technique for neutral atoms has opened a possibility of realizing novel quantum many-atom systems. In this paper we discuss the nonlinear optical response of cold atoms with particular emphasis on its quantum statistical properties.
