Abstract

We propose a strategy to obtain a complete quantum information (i.e. the density operator) of a macroscopic object using the light field as probe. The procedure we suggest to get the density operator should be performed with the aid of the tomographic technique, applied in an indirect way. The developed method is valid, in principle, for any state of the body, but one should pay attention to the thermal noise that we disregard in this initial approach.
