Phase Properties of States Generated by Excitation on a Coherent State
It is well known that radiation field in a coherent state |α〉 has properties like the classical field while the field in the Fock state | m 〉 is strictly quantum mechanical with no classical analogue. The purpose of the present manuscript is to study the phase properties of a state that is intermediate between the coherent state and the Fock state. These non -classical states are obtained by repeated application of photon creation operator on a coherent state. Such a state has non zero field amplitude and exhibit non classical properties like squeezing in one of the quadrature field and Sub Poissonian photon statistics.
