Why Study Children’s Dreams?

Abstract

Dreams have been a source of interest to human beings from the beginning of time. There have been a variety of theories and much speculation about dreams and their meaning. The meaning of dream content has been misunderstood often, seldom studied, and generally underutilized in clinical practice. Because of their often unusual quality and content, children’s dreams are of particular interest to parents, professionals, and children themselves.
