Abstract

In the absence of a suitable catalyst elimination of carbon monoxide from an organic carbonyl compound is often difficult to accomplish, although gas phase photoinduced decarbonylation of aliphatic aldehydes is relatively well documented [Eq. (11.1)].(475)
