Cancer and AIDS as a Model for the Study of Quality of Life

  • Claude Jasmin

Abstract

Cancer is often a debilitating and painful example of an archetypal chronic illness. Its spontaneous evolution and its treatments are well known to substantially affect the personal, family and social life of the patient. This fact explains the significant development in the measures taken to integrate Quality of Life into the treatment of cancer.
