Molecular Subtyping of Campylobacter spp. Isolates from Broiler Production Sources

Abstract

Poultry is associated with the transmission of Campylobacter spp. to humans. This association is deleterious not only because of the large scale of human disease caused, but also because of the potential economic damage that this association can create for the poultry industry. For the poultry industry to diminish such concerns, the sources of the organism for the bird colonization must first be identified and then diminished.
