3-D Blur Estimation and Restoration of Sequential Space-Based Infrared Images
Infrared satellite images are often of low resolution and degraded by additive noise, linear blurs, and nonlinear effects due to scintillation and jitter noise. By using sequential frames, the presence of nonlinear effects may be suppressed. In fact, nonlinear effects might contribute to improvements of such image resolution by applying multi-frame processing where sub-pixel resolution approaches are used.
