Femtosecond Stimulation of Atomic and Nuclear Processes in High Intensity Laser Plasmas

Abstract

The dynamics of the interaction of intense femtosecond laser pulses with dense plasmas is examined. In particular we consider the effect of the high fields generated in plasmas created from heavy isotope of hydrogen on the ion kinetics and neutron generation.
