Part of the book series: Advances in Cryogenic Engineering ((ACRE,volume 38))

Abstract

This presentation will concentrate on the insulation materials which are suitable for the insulation of superconducting magnets for fusion. For the next generation of fusion machines with magnetic confinement as NET and ITER general agreement exists that the insulation will consist of fibre reinforced organic matrix material, a composite.
