Diffeomorphism Groups: A First Glance
By a smooth manifold, we will mean a finite dimensional differentiable manifold of class C∞. We will assume that all manifolds are Hausdorff and second countable, and hence paracompact. Unless it is said explicitly otherwise, the manifolds will be supposed to be connected and without boundary.
