Abstract

Only several general parameters of particles can be obtained directly from the methods of interpretation considered in the previous chapters. It is not always possible to study their inner structure by varying the experimental conditions; moreover, these studies involve very difficult preparative work and data evaluation. Another class of techniques will be examined in this chapter, namely, direct methods which enable one to restore the particle structure, i.e., the scattering density distribution ρ(r), provided some assumptions have been made about this distribution.
