Abstract
The dramatic growth of fruit juice and non-carbonated fruit beverage markets world-wide has been made possible by the development of new packs and packing systems and improvements in traditional packaging. Packaging systems for long life juices have been reviewed (Wiesenberger, 1987). This chapter is concerned with other packaging systems. The intention is not to discuss all packaging used for juices but to select some of the most common, including Pure-Pak type gable top laminated board packs, containers for frozen concentrated juices, glass bottles and developments in plastics packaging.
