Abstract
Coediting a handbook is filled with joy and excitement, as well as sorrow and disappointment. The joy and excitement comes not only at the point when the book is finally on your bookshelf, but also when you read a truly exciting chapter that you have seen emerge from an outline. Excitement also results from discovering that a colleague who has been asked to join the project at a late date is able to quickly shoulder the task, do considerable rewriting, & deliver a remarkably polished product in a very short period of time.
