The primary purpose of a purchase order is to get needed materials, supplies, and services. When making an offshore purchase, problems are minimal if buyers plan and draft a well-documented purchase order. The buyer has to think defensively when preparing his or her agreement and try to look forward to possible events that could go wrong. This is difficult to do, when everyone is enthusiastic to try the new offshore supplier.
