Abstract

For the application of immobilized enzymes to industrial processes, material for the enzyme carrier must be selected for its economy and feasibility in large scale operation. For this reason, we have chosen phenol-formaldehyde resins as enzyme carriers and initial studies were reported in 1973 at the 2nd International Enzyme Engineering Conference (1).
