Abstract
The constitutive equations for the molecular transport of momentum, heat, and mass can be derived from the kinetic theory of gases. The primary assumption of this theory is that any observable macroscopic property of a gas may be obtained from knowledge of the internal structure of its molecules and of the forces acting between them.
