Abstract
The description of fluorescent minerals in the first part of this chapter is limited to those found in the United States. This is a necessary limitation since it is not possible to examine and report in detail on all of the fluorescent minerals of the world. A second and shorter part of this chapter describes a number of fluorescent minerals worldwide where these differ from those of the United States.
