This letter arrived too late to be included in the first edition of the Arithmetica infinitorum but was published in the second edition in 1695. It is reproduced in Stephen Jordan Rigaud, Correspondence of scientific men of the seventeenth century, 2 vols, Oxford 1841, I, 87–88, and is included here for completeness.
