Metamorphic Reactions in Carbonate Rocks

Abstract

The metamorphism of quartz-bearing carbonate rocks provides interesting examples of metamorphic reactions. The occurrence of siliceous dolomites and siliceous dolomitic limestones is very widespread, whereas that of magnesite-bearing sediments is much rarer.
