Abstract

We will begin this chapter with a few results about countability whose proofs illustrate the difference between AC N , DC and AC, but our main task is to establish some important consequences of the full Axiom of Choice, including the basic laws of cardinal arithmetic. The telltale mark (AC) will grace practically all the numbered propositions.
