In this chapter we are going to get to know games that belong to the group using so-called varied strategies. These are different from games of pure luck (chapter 5) but they aren’t true games of strategy either (as in chapter 6). They represent an in-between type. Not only chance but also players’ decisions influence the results. And yet the role of chance here is different. Whereas it affected those games of pure luck as a sort of “finger of fate” that tickled the unsuspecting player, here chance is constructively included in the strategy.
