Abstract

We look at two applications of propositional calculus. The first is its use in solving various “word problems”, such as the superman story on page 37. Formalizing such problems in propositional calculus allows us to solve them more easily than we could using English alone. As a second application, we show how propositional calculus can be used in the design of combinational digital circuits.
