Part of the The Plenum Series on Stress and Coping book series (SSSO)

The next ten chapters present descriptions of centers throughout the world. Each description was condensed from a personal, face-to-face or phone interview that was then summarized. The summary was sent to the interviewee, who reviewed its content and style and made corrections and additions when appropriate. Several descriptions were revised many times, as circumstances in the organizations changed; others were accepted “as is.” Many of the centers also sent descriptive brochures, forms, and assessment materials.
